Peace not war.
This was the guarantee of President Rodrigo Duterte on Friday amid the change of summon service at the Armed Forces of the Philippines central station in Quezon City.
"The main occupation of a President is not to go to war but instead to convey peace to his territory," Duterte said in his discourse.
"My employment is to bring peace. My occupation is to converse with the foes of the state, to the Communist Party of the Philippines, to the MILF (Moro Islamic Liberation Front), and to the men, and check whether I could have any kind of effect in our lives," he included.
The President said he would converse with CPP originator Jose Maria Sison to "realize—not a coalition government—a comprehensive government."
The administration peace board prior held preparatory chats with the socialist gathering for a conceivable peace agreement.
Duterte said he may go to Jolo, Sulu, to converse with Nur Misuari, whom he depicted as companion.
"One week from now, we are to converse with the MILF and in the long run I think I'll need to go to Jolo to converse with Nur," he said.
He said he was willing to give Misuari a "sheltered behavior pass."
"I'm willing to give them safe behavior passes, just the pioneers. At baka matyambahan ko na magkaroon tayo ng mapayapa. Furthermore, if that happens truly, I can resign glad and I can think back and say that I did my obligation in country building," Duterte said, including the administration and the socialist gatherings "can't battle until the end of time."
He said he was simply sitting tight for the entry of Sison for them to have the capacity to talk.
"I'm simply anticipating for the entry of Sison to converse with him and perhaps, quite possibly in the totality of God's opportunity, we can have peace amongst us," the President said.
In his discourse, Duterte repeated his past explanation against Abu Sayyaf.
"I am not cautioning Abu Sayyaf but rather I said there will dependably be a period for retribution," he said.
